The Challenge

Choice Hotels faced a critical brand refresh moment, but without a tangible product ready to showcase. While the company was beginning one-on-one conversations with property owners to gauge interest and align on timing, the lack of visual assets such as new hotel imagery or video content meant traditional storytelling tools were off the table for the first half of the year.

Yet, the business was committed to announcing the revitalization of its brands to a broad group of stakeholders, franchisees, media, employees, and the wider hospitality industry.

Against this backdrop, our challenge was clear: how could we generate excitement and communicate the energy behind the brand evolution without showing the end product? Our answer: lean into the power of video—not to showcase what wasn’t ready, but to spark emotion, engagement, and anticipation for what’s to come.
